The Humble Professionals

The Humble Professionals is an initiative of Acutice Ltd to leverage the skills of humble, hardworking and professional individuals and organisations who do not generally have easy access to IT services.

We value honesty and respect for every person, and work relentlessly to uplift our communities.

Most small and medium-sized enterprises cannot afford IT consultants, enterprise software licences, or even the hours required to master new systems. They know they need to modernise, but they lack a trusted guide to show them the way.

At the same time, a generation of experienced professionals is retiring — people who have built businesses, solved real problems, and learned lessons that cannot be found in any manual. Their knowledge is quietly ebbing away from the economy. Younger professionals are left to navigate increasingly complex challenges alone, without the steadying hand of mentors who have seen it all before. The result is frustration, costly mistakes, and a workforce that feels untethered, tempted to emigrate to greener pastures.

The Humble Professionals is an attempt to address these challenges together. Here merchants and SMEs can showcase and market their products and services in any field of expertise — plumbers, electricians, artisans, IT professionals, and more. We also welcome content contributors to share hard-won knowledge. Supporters have an opportunity to express their solidarity, share their experience and motivation with the community. Consumers buy with confidence. Everyone operates on one secure, scalable platform where professionalism, honesty and humility are non-negotiable requirements, not an afterthought.

If you identify with our mission, register now. It takes a minute. There is no commitment. Just the beginning of a better way to work for a good cause — and for the betterment of our communities.

Body

This site brings together an online community that desires to make positive contributions to the economy and harness human potential — and, in doing so, to recognise in everything and everyone the influence of God, from whom every good thing comes.

The two main prerequisites for all community members are a deep sense of:

  • Humility — respect for every person, whom we see as a child of God.
  • Professionalism — delivering quality in accordance with promises made.

Users may register as any of the following:

  • 🛍️
Merchants — who need an IT system to support their business operations, including marketing, selling, analytical and statistical reporting, and other key functions.
  • ✍️
Content Contributors — who share stories and opinions.
  • 🧑‍💻
Drupal experts — who willingly and generously share technical expertise and development skills.
  • 🤝
Sponsors — who support the community morally, financially or in kind.
  • 👀
Casual or curious visitors may also register — for example, to share their opinions and comments.

Our About Us page provides details on our mission, and our Privacy Policy is kept up-to-date.

The main stakeholders of the site are merchants who use it to promote and sell their products and services. The site is not intended to be a replacement for their Facebook or LinkedIn pages, but rather an additional means of doing business online. More information is available here.

Editorials are published once per month by Acutice, summarising the objectives and achievements of the community.

Opinions and suggestions — whether in response to any news item or event, or via blogs — can only be posted by registered users.

Sponsors and Content Editors are encouraged to publish news and events of interest to the community.

Visitors who do not register may not post their opinions and suggestions on the site.

The Humble Professionals is built on the latest versions of Drupal. The trial launch follows an internal phase during which we are creating our own merchant pages and templates to guide future users through the use of ready-made templates.

A support and FAQ system is also planned for development, allowing merchants to benefit from shared answers.

After the trial period, merchants will be offered a subscription package ranging from MUR 500 to MUR 1,500 per month (or the equivalent for other countries), based on the volume of products, services, and monthly transactions.
